This piece is a yearlong visual documentary leading up to my “Jubilee”. It consists of 365 journal entries on 4”x 6” Artist’s paper and superimposed print images cut from 1”x 2” Architect’s erasers. The erasers are displayed in a frieze across the top of 12: 30”x 40”, custom made frames. Underneath and within are the individually framed daily entries of each month. “Ultimately, one of the things that intrigued me about this piece was what I learned from the blanks and negative spaces that I created …”

THE HUDSON: as it moves through time

This entry includes the first 4 months of a yearlong visual assemblage piece that photographically documents the ever-changing Hudson River, as seen from my living room window. It‘s inspired by the Quadricentinnial birthday of Hudson’s discovery. Each month consists of 35: 1” sq. sections taken from the same frame of its daily photo. It is ultimately housed in 12: 8”x 10”x 3” black shadow boxes complete with branches. “I can see the mood of the river, the seasons change… to my delight movement is implied through the repetitive imagery...”
